Peanut Roaster Machine

Description

An industrial peanut roaster machine is the core equipment for large-scale peanut and nut roasting — designed to deliver consistent color, aroma and texture with continuous or batch production. It is suitable for roasting peanuts and various other granular nuts and seeds efficiently and on a commercial scale. Fuxun Machinery offers two options: batch drum (rotary) peanut roaster and continuous belt peanut roaster.

Uses of Peanut Roasting Machine: 

  • Prepares peanuts for snack peanut products, coated nuts, and flavored peanuts; 
  • Roasting raw peanuts to enhance the flavor, color, and crunch, for peanut butter or oil processing;
  • Reduce moisture content to improve shelf life.
  • Can roast peanuts as well as other nuts and seeds such as cashews, almonds, soybeans, or sesame seeds.

Drum Peanut Roaster

A rotary peanut roaster uses a rotating drum heated by gas or electricity to roast peanuts evenly. Heat is applied through conduction, convection, and infrared radiation, depending on the model. As the drum turns, the peanuts tumble continuously, preventing overheating and ensuring uniform color, aroma, and flavor. Fuxun Machinery offers electric heating type and gas heating type, with flameless catalytic combustion for efficiency and safety.

  • Each drum typically holds around 100 kg of peanuts per batch.
  • Roasting time is usually 40–45 minutes per batch.
  • Multiple (1-5) drums can be used for higher throughput.
  • Automatic temperature control, typically adjustable between 0–300°C, often set in the range of 160–230°C for peanuts.

Continuous Belt Peanut Roaster

A continuous peanut roaster is designed for high-capacity, automated, continuous production of peanuts and other nuts or seeds. Unlike a batch drum roaster, it processes materials using multi-layer mesh belts and circulating hot air to achieve uniform roasting, ensuring consistent quality over large quantities. It is widely applied in peanut butter production, snack food production, nut roasting plants, and food ingredient processing facilities.

Working Principle

Peanuts enter from the upper feed inlet and are evenly distributed onto the top conveyor belt. As the belts move, the peanuts gradually travel downward through multiple layers. During this process, the peanuts fall from one layer to the next, ensuring continuous tumbling and thorough heat penetration.

High-temperature hot air flows across and through the moving peanut layers, allowing the kernels to fully contact the heat source. This multi-layer movement and strong air convection ensure even roasting from surface to core. Finally, the roasted peanuts are discharged from the bottom outlet, completing a smooth and continuous roasting process.
